NFL Official Caught on Camera Screaming “F*** You” at Cardinals Star Trey McBride — League and Players Union Just Exploded
The NFL has a referee problem tonight, and it’s all on tape.
In the closing minutes of Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals vs. New York Giants game at MetLife Stadium, a routine no-call turned into the most talked-about moment of Week 4 — not for what the officials didn’t call, but for what one official appeared to say.
The Play That Sparked It
New York led 27-24 late in the 4th quarter. Arizona faced a critical 3rd-and-2. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett targeted star tight end Trey McBride, who was hit by Giants cornerback Dru Phillips before the ball arrived.
No flag.
The Cardinals were forced to punt, eventually losing 36-24. McBride, frustrated, approached line judge Jeff Seeman to argue for defensive pass interference.
That’s when cameras caught it.
In an 8-second silent clip that has now been viewed millions of times on X, Seeman can be seen turning toward McBride and appearing to shout “F* you! F* you!” twice.
McBride’s reaction says it all. Instead of yelling back, he shook his head, smiled, and pointed directly at the broadcast camera next to him — a clear signal that he knew the entire exchange had just been caught on tape. A Cardinals coach quickly pulled him down the sideline.
“An NFL ref appeared to say ‘F_ck you!’ twice to Trey McBride” — ClutchPoints posted, sharing the clearer angle.
“Unacceptable” — Players Union Explodes
The video was amplified by JC Tretter, Executive Director of the NFL Players Association, who posted the clip himself:
“This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.”
The league responded within hours. According to Reuters and NBC Sports, the NFL is officially “looking into the matter” and reviewing the incident.
