Ohio Neighbors Are FURIOUS After What Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Just Did To Their $5.3M Mansion
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce finally got the green light for more privacy at their new Ohio mansion, but not everyone in the neighborhood is celebrating.
The superstar couple purchased a historic 21,000-square-foot lakefront estate in Bratenahl, Ohio for $5.35 million earlier this year — a quiet, upscale village on Lake Erie with a year-round population of less than 1,400.
Last month, on September 8, the Bratenahl Architectural Review Board unanimously approved their plan to install a 1,190-foot, 6-foot black aluminum privacy fence around the 3.5-acre property.
It sounds simple, but the meetings got heated.
What The Couple Wants
According to plans filed with the village, the fence will run along Lake Shore Boulevard, with two private gates. The original plan called for an 8-foot fence that went all the way to the lake, but the couple reduced it to 6 feet to preserve lake views.
Their contractor, Jacob Kutz of Tiny Construction, defended the project:
“The house was one of the largest sales in Cuyahoga County, so the homeowner is looking for privacy and security.”
The team also said they want to plant 50 evergreen trees for additional screening and have already paid to have the shared sewer line jetted and cleaned.
