Literally. That’s how many snaps he played.

The New York Giants officially cut OBJ on Tuesday morning, ending the feel-good reunion after just 3 games, and the stat line is brutal:

That’s it. That’s the whole comeback.

The internet didn’t waste any time. By noon, the “2026 highlights” edits were everywhere — a 7-second clip of him warming up against the Titans, a blocking rep, and then jogging off. Caption: 🥀

And it hurts because training camp actually gave people hope.

Beckham signed a 1-year, $1.3M prove-it deal in June — 8 years after the Giants traded him. He was supposed to be done. He sat out all of 2025 after a 6-game PED suspension, last caught a pass in 2024 in Miami (9 for 55). But he showed up, looked fast, and made the 53-man roster outright with 7 catches for 76 yards in the preseason.

Then the season started and John Harbaugh’s offense just didn’t have a spot for him.

Malik Nabers is the WR1. Rookie Malachi Fields is getting the deep shots. Darnell Mooney is playing the slot. OBJ was WR4 in a 2-WR offense.

Week 1 at Washington: 11 snaps.
Week 2 vs Dallas: 3 snaps — same game rookie QB Jaxson Dart went down with a season-ending injury.
Week 3 vs Tennessee: 6 snaps, 1 target from Jameis Winston that hit the turf. Final game as a Giant.

Harbaugh said Sunday _should_ be the game where his role expands. It went the other way.

Now the Giants are 2-1, just traded for J.J. McCarthy to back up Winston, and need roster spots for Braxton Berrios and linebacker Malik Harrison. A 33-year-old WR4 who doesn’t play special teams is the first to go.

It’s a sad end for a franchise legend — 12th overall pick in 2014, Offensive Rookie of the Year, the one-handed catch vs Dallas, 390 catches, 5,476 yards, 44 TDs in blue.

From that to zero catches and a meme highlight video.

Per Jordan Schultz, both sides called it a “mutual parting” so Beckham can try to catch on somewhere else where he’ll actually play. Rams and Niners are already being mentioned.

But for New York, the reunion is over.
