In between practices for this year’s playoff games leading to the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce found some time to help out the Kansas City community, donating 25,000 meals to kids in the area.

Kelce teamed up with Kodiak Cakes to donate the meals through the Operation Breakthrough nonprofit. The 34-year-old invested in Kodiak Cakes in 2022, and he has worked with Operation Breakthrough for years through his own nonprofit, Eighty-Seven & Running.

“Joining forces with my friends over at Kodiak to fuel the Operation Breakthrough families is a total privilege,” Kelce said in a press release. “Alongside Kodiak, a brand I love, we will be making a meaningful difference in the day-to-day life of hundreds of Kansas City kids, and I couldn’t be more excited to make this happen.”

Fans were amazed at Kelce’s kind actions, sharing their thoughts on social media.

“A generous initiative by Travis Kelce and Kodiak brand, making a positive impact on the community,” wrote one fan, while another cheered him on, saying, “#TravisKelce what a man what a mighty generous man. He’s always doing things like this πŸπŸˆπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ«Ά.”

A different fan tweeted about the news, writing that while they “constantly post about Travis Kelce’s hotness, it is the charity work he does that makes him so damn attractive because his continuously generous spirit shines through,” adding that he is a “great representative” of the city.

Someone responded to the post with very high praise, saying, “They broke the mold when Travis was born β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’―,” as a declaration in the comments read, “Selflessness and kindness are the ultimate hot ❀️.”

Kelce previously partnered with the nonprofit to create the Ignition Lab, which provides opportunities for kids ages 14 to 18 to further explore STEM skills, while also earning certifications, school credit, and other opportunities, like internships.

He will likely continue working with Operation Breakthrough and Kodiak Cakes on similar projects in the future, spreading goodwill to the Kansas City community.

Travis Kelce has matched girlfriend Taylor Swift’s $100,000 donation to victims of Wednesday’s mass shooting following the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally.

Kelce made the gift through a GoFundMe page, which shows a pair of $50,000 donations from his charity, the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation – an organization that aims to help ‘underserved youth strive to become productive citizens.’

The GoFundMe page was started by friends of the Reyes family, who had two young daughters wounded in the shooting. The fund drive has already surpassed its $100,00 goal, reaching $177,000 by Friday evening. Swift, meanwhile, donated to the family of Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan, who was killed in the shooting.

Of course, the donation only comes after Kelce took waves of criticism for partying in the wake of the shooting, which left one dead and 22 others injured. Two juveniles were charged with crimes connected to the mass shooting, authorities said Friday, as the city tries to recover in the aftermath of the violence.

Kelce was among the Chiefs stars who went ahead with a ‘scaled down’ celebration just hours after a mass shooting saw the team’s Super Bowl parade descend into tragedy. However, other teammates stayed away from the party.
