Jason Kelce will not be the next NFL legend to offer himself up to be roasted, if his reaction to Tom Brady’s Netflix roast is anything to go by.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner suffered through almost three hours of quips at the hands of former teammates Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, Bill Belichick and Kim Kardashian live on Netflix on Sunday night.

The show featured a number of jokes about Brady’s divorce from supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and her new boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

And while the former quarterback took it all in good humor, Kelce couldn’t wrap his head around the decision to allow yourself to be roasted.

‘It was pure entertainment and I’m really happy they did it but I just don’t get the roasts,’ said Jason, who retired this offseason, during the latest episode of his New Heights podcast brother Travis.

I don’t know why people do it. Maybe I take myself too seriously … It was star-studded. The best part about it was how many just iconic NFL and celebrities of immense stature that were there.

Not to mention the entire Patriots dynasty showing up for Tom. That being said, I really don’t f***ing get it. I don’t get why people do roasts. I don’t get why they are a thing. Haha, yeah, my family’s ruined, it’s so funny, everyone’s laughing, it’s great, we’re having fun, yeah right.’

However, Kelce later suggested that for the right price tag he could be persuaded to subject himself to the abuse, as long as his wife of six years Kylie wasn’t involved.

‘I take it back. I’ll do a roast. What’d you guys pay Tom? The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is Kylie,’ Jason said after the brothers questioned how much Netflix splashed out to convince Brady. ‘She knows too much … Every day I am getting roasted by Kylie.’

Meanwhile, Travis gave the show a rave review as he praised Brady for being such a ‘good sport’.

‘Oh my Goodness, that was unbelievable first off,’ said the Chiefs tight end, who didn’t watch the show live as he was partying the night away following the Miami Grand Prix Sunday.

‘Everyone involved hats off. I had been in tears the whole last day just watching clips. I wasn’t able to watch it live. I commend everybody because no one seemed to get their feelings hurt. It seems like everyone was having fun with it. But at the same time, that s*** had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.’

The brutal jokes aimed at Brady including jibes about his marriage to now ex-wife Bundchen, as well as the Patriots’ Deflategate scandal, for which Brady was suspended four games in 2016.

Bundchen is ‘deeply disappointed’ and feels ‘disrespected’ by Tom Brady’s Netflix roast show – which featured several shock quips about her new romance with Joaquim Valente.

The supermodel, 43, who shared two children with Brady, 46, split from the NFL star in 2022 after 13 years of marriage, and she is understood to be less than impressed about their relationship, and her subsequent new relationship with jiu jitsu trainer Valente, 35, being used as the butt of jokes in The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, which aired live on Sunday.

One shock joke saw comedian Nikki Glaser referencing Valente’s martial arts prowess, saying: ‘How much would it suck for Tom… omg, just knowing your ex-wife’s new boyfriend could beat your a** while eating hers.’
