KANSAS CITY – It was supposed to be about football, but Taylor Swift stole the post-game headlines again on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 2-0 with a dramatic 33-30 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts at Arrowhead Stadium on September 20, 2026, but the most replayed moment wasn’t the final field goal – it was Swift in the suite.

The pop superstar, who married tight end Travis Kelce in July at Madison Square Garden after their August 2025 engagement, was watching alongside her parents Scott and Andrea Swift and mother-in-law Donna Kelce.

When Patrick Mahomes connected with Kelce for a first-quarter touchdown – his first score of his 14th season – Swift jumped to her feet, pointed directly at her wedding ring, and shouted: “That’s my husband!”

The clip instantly went viral.

On the field, Kelce looked vintage. He finished with 9 receptions for 101 yards and that touchdown in the 33-30 win. It followed his 71-yard opener against Denver.

After the game, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid credited Kelce’s offseason work, and joked about Swift’s influence.

“Trav worked his tail off,” Reid told KSHB 41 News. “Everybody questioned with the wedding and all of that, would he be out of shape and honeymooning the whole time. He works his rear end off. And I think Taylor, you’re putting on four-hour shows, you’ve got to work hard too. So I’m sure she kicks him in the butt a little there too.”
