Our most bitter divisional rivalry. 132 games of bad blood, broken hearts, and last-second miracles.

This Sunday, history repeats itself. For the 133rd time.

When the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers meet on Sunday, it won’t just be Week 7. It will be Chapter 133 of one of the NFL’s most brutal, most bitter, and most underrated rivalries in football.

A RIVALRY BUILT ON BAD BLOOD

You can’t tell the story of the AFC West without Broncos vs Chargers. It started back in 1960 in the old AFL, and for over 60 years, these two teams have hated each other.

From John Elway trading punches with Dan Fouts, to Jay Cutler vs Philip Rivers screaming at each other on the sideline, to Justin Herbert vs Bo Nix — the new generation of this war — this rivalry never disappoints.

132 games have been played. Countless last-second field goals, pick-sixes, and fights.

And just 12 days ago, we wrote Chapter 132.

LAST TIME: BRONCOS STOLE ONE IN LA

On October 11th at SoFi Stadium, the Broncos walked into Los Angeles and left with a statement 23-17 win over the Chargers.

The Chargers led 17-10 in the 3rd quarter. It looked over. Then Bo Nix and the Denver defense flipped the script with 13 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to stun Herbert and the Chargers.

That win was personal. Now the Chargers want payback.
