The Buffalo Bills will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional-round showdown without key receiver Gabe Davis, ruled out by head coach Sean McDermott due to a knee injury.
Davis had an impressive performance against the Chiefs in the 2021 divisional round with 201 yards and four touchdowns. Despite a season tally of 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns, he missed practice all week after sitting out the wild-card round.
His absence will likely result in expanded roles for Khalil Shakir and Trent Sherfield. The Bills are also without cornerback Christian Benford, linebacker Baylon Spector, and safety Taylor Rapp, while Terrel Bernard, Taron Johnson, Rasul Douglas, and Tyrel Dodson are game-time decisions.
The game presents an opportunity for the Bills to overcome Patrick Mahomes, who won their first two matchups, and it marks Mahomes’ first experience of a crowd-filled Highmark Stadium.
