Brittany Mahomes recently expressed her grief following a tragic incident at the Kansas City Chiefs parade. The heartbreaking post from Patrick Mahomes’ wife comes after multiple people were shot during the celebration in Kansas City, Missouri, at Union Square.

Reports from NBC indicate that the shooting resulted in at least one death and left 22 individuals injured near a parking garage. Three suspects were apprehended by police, with one reportedly subdued by a courageous Chiefs fan, as seen in a video shared on X, formerly Twitter.

“Shooting people is never the answer,” Brittany wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday.

“Praying for Kansas City & America in general, this is rough.

“Highly embarrassed and disappointed in this, Super Bowl wins will never be the same because of this, it’s devastating.

“Lives lost and people injured during something that was suppose [sic] to be a celebration.

“Horrible and traumatizing. So many prayers going to the families involved.”

Patrick Mahomes also took to social media to address the incident, offering prayers for Kansas City amidst the turmoil.

Prior to the gunfire, Patrick and Brittany shared moments from the parade route while riding on a double-decker bus. Amidst the cheers of thousands of Chiefs fans celebrating the team’s Super Bowl victory, the couple was captured dancing and enjoying the festivities.

Meanwhile, Travis Kelce, who has yet to comment on the shooting, was also present on the bus with his mother, Donna Kelce. His girlfriend, Taylor Swift, had recently embarked on her Eras Tour in Australia.
