BREAKING: Over 1 Million Americans Just Signed a Petition Called “Impeach Trump Again” Asking Congress to Begin Impeachment Proceedings Against President Trump
**Washington, D.C.** — A petition urging Congress to impeach and remove President Donald Trump from office has surpassed one million signatures, organizers announced.
The “Impeach Trump Again” campaign, led by the legal advocacy group Free Speech For People in partnership with Women’s March, was launched on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2025. It cites multiple alleged violations of the Constitution and abuses of power by the president during the early months of his second term.
Organizers have delivered batches of nearly one million signatures to House leadership and members of the House Judiciary Committee, including Rep. Al Green (D-TX), calling for the immediate launch of impeachment proceedings.
“With over one million Americans joining the call for impeachment, Congress must do its constitutional duty,” said a spokesperson for the campaign. The petition outlines more than 20 grounds for impeachment, including alleged emoluments clause violations and other actions claimed to threaten democratic norms.
The effort comes amid deep partisan divisions. With Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, the petition faces long odds of advancing to formal proceedings. Trump supporters have dismissed the campaign as a partisan stunt by opponents unwilling to accept the results of the 2024 election.
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. As of recent updates, the petition continues to gather signatures toward a goal of two million.
This marks the latest in a series of activist efforts seeking accountability as President Trump serves his second non-consecutive term.
