Cabrini University is set to welcome back one of its own, Kylie McDevitt Kelce, for an inspiring speech during the closing ceremony of the university’s commencement.
This event, scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, will see Kylie, an alumna of Cabrini and the wife of Philadelphia Eagles veteran Jason Kelce, taking the stage to motivate the graduates.
Kylie’s ties with Cabrini run deep, having excelled in field hockey during her time as a student, where she continues to support young athletes in the sport. Joining her in this special occasion will be Dr. Rachel Slaughter, another esteemed graduate, who will address the graduating class alongside Kelce. Both Kelce and Slaughter bring unique perspectives to the ceremony, reflecting Cabrini’s commitment to excellence and community.
Reflecting on her time at Cabrini, Kelce was grateful for the impact the university had on her life. She highlighted the lasting friendships and memories forged during her tenure. Raised in Eagles territory, Kylie’s journey involves from being a standout athlete at Lower Marion High School to a distinguished alumna of Cabrini University.
Raised in the heart of Eagles territory, Narberth, a suburb of Philadelphia, Kylie Kelce’s journey to success began early. A standout athlete at Lower Marion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, she excelled in field hockey, a passion she carried into her college years.
Graduating in 2017, Kylie made waves on the field, earning spots on the All-CSAC First Team and ECAC South All-Stars First Team during her senior year at Cabrini University, where she majored in communications.
Kylie’s personal life intertwined with her professional achievements, as she was already in a relationship with Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce by the time she graduated. The couple, who initially met on Tinder, tied the knot in April 2018 and have since welcomed three daughters.
Despite her busy family life, Kylie continues to make strides in various fields. From her recent debut at Milan Fashion Week to her advocacy work for the Eagles Autism Foundation and her efforts to promote body confidence among girls through initiatives like the “Keep Her Confident” campaign and the Body Confident Sport program, Kylie Kelce shows the true spirit of a multifaceted leader.
In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, she serves as an event consultant for the Eagles Autism Foundation and holds the role of Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach at Lower Merion School District.
