Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed what would have been a game-tying field goal with less than two minutes left to play in the AFC Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Highmark Stadium. He took the blame for the loss, but quarterback Josh Allen feels differently.
Allen, 27, was spotted placing his arm around Bass as they walked into the tunnel after the Chiefs eliminated them. During his postgame press conference, the Bills QB explained that a single person cannot be blamed.
“I wish it wouldn’t have been put in that situation,” Allen said. “You win as a team, you lose as a team. One play doesn’t define a game, it doesn’t define a season.
“People are gonna be out there saying that, we’ve gotta be there for him. We execute a couple plays prior…probably singing a different tune right now.”
