The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t get a first round bye in the NFL playoffs this year but it sure felt like they did last night as they blew out Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers so badly that Arrowhead Stadium ran out of celebratory fireworks.
For real, that actually happened.
Patrick Mahomes threw for five touchdowns but the best touchdown pass of the night came from his good buddy, tight end Travis Kelce who threw his first TD pass of his career in the fourth quarter of the 42-21 Chiefs win.
Look at this dime that Kelce threw to Byron Pringle.
TRAVIS KELCE THROWS A TD PASS 🔥
Yes, you heard that right.
After the game Kelce’s mom, Donna, crashed his press conference and asked a sweet question about that pass:
The full exchange with Travis Kelce and his mom, Donna.
That was a pretty great. What a proud mom. Donna had quite a day yesterday, too, as she watched her other son Jason play against the Bucs in Tampa before making it to Kansas City for the Travis’ game.
Jason Kelce & @tkelce’s mom Donna is on the ultimate mission today: 2 playoff games in 1 day.
Twitter loved Kelce’s TD pass:
I’m jelly. Andy let my nephew Kelce throw a TD pass in playoff gm. Mike wouldn’t let me throw a pass in practice. 🤣🤣
I hope Andy Reid called that Travis Kelce TD pass just so Donna Kelce could see it
Mahomes on Travis Kelce TD pass: “I thought I was open in the flat, but they told him not to throw me the ball. I’ll have to have a talk with Coach Reid about that.” #Chiefs
can the chiefs let donna kelce throw a TD pass for being mom of the year plz
