Pop sensation Taylor Swift has taken over the world with her Eras Tour this spring and summer. Swift has held concerts all around the country and plans to tour the world. Several have been held at NFL stadiums, prompting more than a few players to confess their fandom.
Travis Kelce was one of the latest players to make their way to see Swift in concert and was in attendance when the Eras Tour passed through Kansas City earlier this month.
On the most recent episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis revealed he was a bit disappointed that the pop sensation doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she performs during the show.
“I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of my bracelets I made her,” Travis said.
Jason seemed to be surprised that Travis made a friendship bracelet for Swift, but they’ve become a huge phenomenon for attendees of her sweeping stadium tour.
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets,” Travis said. “And I received a bunch being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
And no, not his number as in 87, but his phone number.
“You know which one,” Travis told Jason.
Travis took it a little personally that he was unable to give Swift his phone number but said that he did indeed enjoy the show.
“It was an unbelievable show,” he said. “Kansas City showed out. I’ve only seen Arrowhead [Stadium] filled like that for a Chiefs game with that much excitement. Everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her. It was wild. It was a wild show.”
Jason suggested that maybe Swift, who is a Philadelphia Eagles fan, might still be upset about the Super Bowl loss.
Perhaps that’s the case. Maybe he’ll have a chance if the Chiefs lose to the Eagles in this season’s Super Bowl instead.
