Travis and Jason Kelce Praise Prince William’s Parenting of George and Charlotte: ‘William’s Doing It Right’
“If anyone’s doing it right, Prince William’s doing it right,” the Kansas City Chiefs star said after meeting the Prince of Wales and his two eldest kids
Travis and Jason Kelce are impressed with Prince William’s parenting skills.
The brothers opened up about what it was like to meet the Prince of Wales, Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 21 on the latest episode of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, and said that they respected how William parented his children. The Prince of Wales shares Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, with wife Kate Middleton, and took his eldest two kids to the concert on his 42nd birthday, where they snapped a selfie with Travis and Swift.
In the June 26 episode, Travis, 34, described the royals as an “absolute delight” and Jason, 36, agreed that they were “wonderful people,” adding that “the highlight was Princess Charlotte,” who Travis called a “superstar.”
“I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I have three girls now. She had fire to her. She was asking questions. That was the most electric part,” said the former Philadelphia Eagles player, who shares daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1, with wife Kylie Kelce.
“I love it when parents ask their kids to be present, be vocal,” Travis revealed. “They encourage them to take the lead in a conversation,” added Jason, which the Kansas City Chiefs star called “such a good parent move.”
“Just a good meet and the picture, keep it moving. No, let them have a moment, let them feel comfortable in talking to people… If anyone’s doing it right, Prince William’s doing it right,” Travis said. “So thank you, Your Royal Highness. It was awesome meeting you, and Charlotte and George.”
Princess Charlotte is known for her confident personality and was spotted dancing beside her dad when Swift performed her hit “Shake It Off” at the concert on June 21. Prince William’s viral moves drew comparisons to Prince Louis, who is known to steal the show at official royal events with his playful nature.
