With their two adorable children, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have created a slice of heaven for themselves. Since birth, daughter Sterling and son Bronze have been the apple of their mother’s and father’s eyes. Both Bronze and Sterling feature regularly in their parent’s Instagram stories. Although, Brittany’s latest social media update will probably leave fans apprehensive.

On Tuesday, Brittany Mahomes took to her Instagram stories to share a worrying update on Sterling’s health. Anxious for her daughter to get well soon, mom Brittany revealed that Sterling has been battling a persistent stomach virus. Sharing a picture of her daughter sleeping in her arms, the former soccer player and mother of two wrote, “Day 4 of sickness for my baby boo. Some stomach virus that won’t get the heck out of here”. Raising kids is not a cakewalk for any parent, but Brittany has come forward to share that Sterling and Bronze both suffer from severe allergies, which can make taking care of them an even bigger challenge.

Recently, in an interview with PEOPLE, Brittany opened up about how Patrick Mahomes’ son Bronze once had to be rushed to the emergency room after he ingested a drink with peanuts. Calling it “one of the most terrifying days” of her life, the KC Current stakeholder further described her ordeal and said, “Fortunately, he was okay, but I’ve had to cope with this new way of living and ensure my family is safe inside the home and out

Getting candid about her daughter’s allergies, the NFL star’s wife further added, “We’ve been aware of Sterling’s allergies since she was an infant. We’ve been learning more along the major childhood milestones and are so grateful to continue to discover helpful resources along the way.” The Chiefs’ star quarterback and the retired soccer player, however, have left no stone unturned when it comes to the care of their children.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have resorted to keeping allergy-friendly food items handy for their kids. Not only that, but Brittany has made it her life’s mission to educate not only her friends and family but the world at large, about allergies. After all, kids’ safety is paramount for any parent.
Since becoming a mother of two children who have food allergies, Brittany Mahomes has made several strides in spreading awareness about the cause. The 28-year-old mother of two has become a pioneer and has even donated to FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), a leading national organization committed to enhancing and empowering the lives of individuals with food allergies.

Throwing light on the purpose behind her donation, Patrick Mahomes’ wife said, “The ‘I Can’ campaign will help the +85 million Americans impacted by food allergies and intolerances. Supporting and empowering this community will aid in FARE’s transformative work in research, education and advocacy to improve the quality of life for these Americans.”
Her biggest motivation, however, comes from being a caring mother to her children. “I want Sterling and Bronze to grow up having a healthy relationship with food, and my goal as a mom is to ensure they feel safe and informed in case of emergency,” says Brittany Mahomes. Parents will indeed go to the ends of the earth to ensure their children live a healthy and happy life. Patrick Mahomes and his wife’s dedication to their children is a living example of the same.
