Stephen A. Smith was disgusted over Travis Kelce’s recent comments calling out some media for “talking s–t” about his struggling Chiefs.
During the latest installment of his “New Heights” podcast, the tight end explained that Chiefs’ doubters are only fueling the reigning champions to turn things around following Sunday’s dramatic, 20-17, loss to their AFC rival Bills.
“You got 33 damn drops on this season,” Smith said on his ESPN show, “First Take,” on Thursday. “I don’t want to hear no nonsense about the media.
“Travis Kelce, you know where to find me, bro.”
Kelce called out some media members after Kansas City’s dramatic loss, which saw their offense struggle and Kelce’s potentially game-winning lateral to Kadarius Toney wiped out by the receiver’s offensive offsides penalty.
“There’s a lot of media pointing fingers at some of the skills players we have and I say f–k that,” Kelce said to his cohost and brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce. “Excuse my language. We usually cuss in lighthearted ways.
“… I felt like you guys had to feel that, whoever is talking s–t on the skill players in our offense right now.
Kelce added that he also needs to play better.

“That ain’t the media…y’all dropping passes,” he wrote in a post on X.
Smith, 56, explained on his show that Kelce chose to “get at the haters” over holding his own receivers accountable because they “can’t catch the damn football.”
The Chiefs (8-4) are in first place in the AFC West, but Sunday’s loss marked their second straight — and they’ve lost four of their last six games.
“This is a group effort and when you turn the film on what’s real is we got guys who can play this game.”
Smith raised his hand.
“I’m one of those media members,” he said. “Travis Kelce, you need to stop. Respectfully bro, stop that s–t.
“Your receivers have dropped 33 passes this year — 33! And you think your Covid vaccine commercials with that smile on your face gonna hide that?
“Hell, rather than getting a vaccine shot, they need to get some Velcro or something attached to their fan hands so they’ll catch the damn football.
“Come on, bro. It ain’t it’s Stephen A. out here throwing first pitch or trying to catch a damn touchdown pass. These are professionals… Y’all are the reigning Super Bowl champions!”
Smith also called out receiver Toney for lining up offsides, which ultimately resulted in the Chiefs losing the game in the final two minutes.
Mahomes dropped back on a second-and-10 and targeted Kelce across the middle — who threw a lateral pass to Toney and the wideout finished off the touchdown.
However, Toney was penalized for being offsides and the touchdown was negated.
The Chiefs don’t look like the Super Bowl-caliber team they were last season, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ offense struggling to score.
