Nine months after giving birth, Serena Williams is sharing her relatable post-partum fitness journey.

The Olympic gold medalist, 42, took another shot at fitting into her Valentino denim skirt in a hilarious Instagram reel she shared on Wednesday.

‘Ok everyone, I have been working my [peach emoji] off!’ Williams captioned the clip. ‘Let’s see what happens with my jean skirt. Can I fit it yet? Check it out!’

She squeezed into the skirt in front of her mirror, getting caught on her butt as she attempted to pull it up.

‘Back by popular demand… or in my mind,’ she said in the video. ‘Ok, so I am going to try on my skirt again to see if it’s any closer than it was four weeks ago. … Honestly, I feel like it’s gonna fit the same.’

Although Williams said she’s ‘been gym-ing alot,’ she doesn’t think ‘the needle is moving.’

‘It’s getting there,’ she said, showing the progress before ultimately giving up and pretending to cry.

‘I just wanna cry,’ said Williams. ‘But I’m not. I’m just gonna stop eating all those snacks.’

Williams was met with praise in the comments section by friends and fans who thanked her for sharing her weight-loss journey.

‘Thank you for doing this and showing that it’s a process after giving birth for world class athletes,’ wrote Octavia Spencer. ‘You’re even more stunning and real!’

‘Thanks for showing us, that you have the same struggles we do,’ one fan commented. ‘Work out, try it on, work out change it up, try it on…. All of our same goals too…. Thank you.’

‘It’s ok. You don’t need this Pentecostal skirt. It’s triggering me lol but you look amazing gorgeous!!!!!’ another person wrote.

Williams previously revealed it was her ‘goal’ to fit into the Valentino skirt in another video she shared in January.

‘I got this cool Valentino skirt when I was pregnant and I was like, “I’m gonna be able to fit this when I don’t have a belly,’ she said at the time. ‘I can’t fit it.’

But this is my goal. Honestly, I should’ve been able to fit it by now, but I ran into some, um… I got distracted for about a month,’ added Williams.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner welcomed her second child, daughter Adira River, with husband Alexis Ohanian in August.

She and the Reddit co-founder, 41, who tied the knot in 2017, also share 6-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Jr.

Williams teased Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter) that she is ‘ready to hit some balls again’ after taking a break from tennis in 2022 to focus on her family.
