Prince Harry received an exceptional birthday surprise thanks to his close friend, Oprah Winfrey, who orchestrated an extravagant gift for the Duke of Sussex.
Iron Chef Cat Cora disclosed that Oprah had enlisted her to prepare a special meal for Harry on his birthday.
During a conversation with Lance Armstrong on Stars on Mars, Cora shared that Oprah had contacted her to arrange this unique present.
“One day I hear my phone ringing, and it’s Oprah, and she says: ‘Cat, it’s Harry’s birthday and I need you to cook for them’,” she revealed.
What did Cora prepare for Prince Harry?
Although Cora didn’t divulge the specific dishes she prepared for Harry and Meghan, she did admit that she developed a friendship with the couple and fondly referred to them as “buddies” who are exceptionally kind and pleasant.
Harry’s 39th birthday is on September 15. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Dusseldorf, Germany, for the Invictus Games and planned to stay until the event’s official conclusion the next day. This meant that Harry would be spending the day with his wife.
Meghan was rumored to have something “meaningful” in store for Harry’s birthday. According to royal historian Tessa Dunlop, the Sussexes have a tradition of giving each other “meaningful” gifts, such as a picture of Archie that Meghan once presented to Harry.
“I presume Meghan will join him there later, they’ll do a double act there. They’ll do something meaningful, they’re in a neutral space in Germany and I think they’ll have a good one,” Tessa told OK!
