Along similar lines, Biles is back with yet another heartwarming gesture for Owens.
With only a few months left for the NFL season to commence, football fans have something to geek out about. Whether it is donning their favorite team’s jersey or counting the odds of who will lift this year’s Vince Lombardi trophy, for the NFL fandom, following these pre-match rituals is mandatory. Likewise, Simone Biles also followed suit and cheered for Green Bay Packers in the most fascinating way.
In her recent Snapchat story, the gymnast shared a video of herself explaining the pre-match tradition followed by over 5.5 million people in Wisconsin. In order to cheer for their home team, people in Wisconsin don green and gold shirts every Friday.
“So in Green Bay every Friday there is a tradition to wear Packers’ gears. Schools do it, banks, hotels, grocery stores like everyone in green bay”, stated Biles. Interestingly, joining forces with the Packers’ clan, the gymnast also wore the Green Bay jersey and flaunted her shirt for the lens.
Biles not only hailed her husband’s new NFL team, but also shared the match schedule of the Packers and egged on her fans to watch the playoffs.
Simone Biles turns into a staunch Packers fan
On 12th May, after Owens signed a contract with the Packers, Biles took to her Instagram to share an appreciation post for her husband. She captioned, it as “So proud of you baby! Here’s to new beginnings!”. Along with this, she also shared an Instagram story and gave a glimpse of the upcoming NFL schedule.
As per the lineup, NFC North’s Packers’ first match is on 10th September against Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Owens has girded up his loins for the playoffs, Biles too has pulled up her socks to cheer for her husband from the stands. With pre-match traditions already in check, the gymnast has already become a full-time Green Bay fan.
