JUST IN: ESPN Has Reportedly Finally Made Decision About Jason Kelce’s Future
Philadelphia Eagles legend and ESPN NFL analyst **Jason Kelce** will continue his broadcasting career with the network but shift away from weekly commitments toward more flexible, event-based roles, according to recent reports.
In late January, ESPN and Kelce mutually agreed not to pursue a second season of his late-night talk show *”They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce,”* which premiered in 2025 but faced declining ratings after an initial surge of interest. The decision was driven primarily by Kelce, who expressed a desire to explore other opportunities during the offseason rather than lock into another regular series. ESPN reportedly remained supportive and open to collaborating on future projects.
Since then, the network has assigned Kelce to select high-profile gigs that leverage his charisma and fan appeal. These include serving as a special correspondent for the NHL Stadium Series in Tampa and, most recently, joining the commentary team as a special guest for all three matches of the TGL (Tech-fueled Golf League) regular-season finale on ESPN from March 1-3, alongside host Matt Barrie.
Kelce, a six-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion who retired from the NFL in 2024 after 13 seasons, initially joined ESPN on a lucrative multi-year deal that included a role on *Monday Night Countdown*. While his core NFL analysis work appears ongoing, the move signals a broader strategy by both parties to utilize his talents in one-off, cross-sport appearances rather than fixed weekly programming.
No further details on long-term commitments have been announced, but sources indicate ESPN plans to continue working with Kelce on additional opportunities as they arise. The former center remains a popular figure in sports media, co-hosting the hit *New Heights* podcast with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
