Simone Biles may not have competed in a gymnastics meet since the 2020 Tokyo Olympics – but the newlywed 26-year-old proved she’s still very much in gold medal-worthy shape when she showed off her incredible physique while lapping up the sun on her ‘mini moon’.
The former Olympian recently enjoyed a lavish getaway with her new husband – NFL player Jonathan Owens, 27 – and she has been offering her followers a few glimpses into their vacation on her Instagram, while also flaunting her amazing abs in a host of swimwear.
In one snap shared from the trip, Simone could be seen posing up a storm in a bold green bikini top, which featured intricate ties around the waist, and which she paired with some teeny white-and-green hot pants.
Paying tribute to her new status as a married woman, Simone captioned the snap, which was taken at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa: ‘It’s a wifestyle.’
With a pair of glamorous shades to protect her eyes from the sun – and a $1,875 Louis Vuitton handbag by her side – the athlete looked every inch the glamorous A-lister as she posed by the pool at the resort.
Simone has shared a host of photos of herself and her new husband since they began their lavish trip straight after their wedding, posting several snaps of herself happily cozying up to her spouse.
One snap showed the happy couple cuddling up together in a cabana while sporting matching Fendi swimwear – with Simone going the extra mile and even adding a designer bucket hat to her look.
She captioned the romantic image simply: ‘Married girl summer.’
The pair – who returned home to Texas today – appear to have had a whale of a time during their mini moon, with Simone posting a recap of some of their activities to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
Simone revealed that she and Jonathan chartered a yacht – aptly named Happy Ending’s – to enjoy a day out at sea during their trip, and even ran into some sea lions while they were out on the water.
Sharing a video of the moment on her Stories, Simone quipped that they ‘didn’t catch any fish but we did get to meet this sea lion.’
Other snapshots shared by Simone continued to capture the couple in post-nuptial bliss across the iconic destination.
