Emotional Over Tour’s Ending, Simone Biles Skips to Good Parts of the Mega Event: ‘Tough Week’
Simone Biles’ post-Olympic journey in 2024 took her from the podium in Paris straight to the hearts of fans across America. With the Gold Over America Tour planned right after the Olympics. In September, started a unique adventure for Biles and her gold-winning teammates.
And after weeks of bringing a fusion of gymnastics and vibrant storytelling to cities across the nation, the team reached its final day. This pop concert-style show, however, was more than a performance! It became a memory-packed journey for the team, who were nothing less than one big family. And it left even the G.O.A.T herself deeply moved.
Now, days after the tour’s grand finale in Detroit, Biles is not yet out of the GOAT hangover. The Olympic star probably has had a jam-packed week; however, she chose to reflect on the unforgettable experience and the emotional highs and lows she went through for the last few weeks. Simone took to her Instagram and posted a story sharing a selfie of her making a face and captioned the story, “Welp, what a tough week… lots of feelings, but I’m gonna share some recent happies from the tour.”
For the two months of the tour, Biles and her fellow gymnasts became more than just teammates. They became one large family. Performing over 30 shows, they shared endless laughs, inside jokes, and powerful performances that celebrated their skills and togetherness. Through her Instagram stories, she chose to convey her love to her teammates.
She started by posting a story with her young teammate Joscelyn Roberson, who has always idolized Biles. They both also shared a beautiful moment together recently that took over the internet. Biles also posted a picture with Jade Carey, and the two Olympians were shining bright as they smiled and hugged each other, posing for the picture. The thread of memories continued on her stories, and she posed with the other cast members of GOAT.
Biles posed with the youngest American Olympian, Hezly Rivera, who bagged her first Olympic gold at just 16 years old. The Olympian was also spotted having a good time with team members Melanie de Jesus Santos, Shane Wiskus, and Yul Moldauer. In the series of pictures, Biles particularly posted a collage of four pictures. There, the men of the team were spotted with ponies tied on top of their heads. And guess what? The hair stylist was none other than the GOAT herself. Simone captioned the story, “Pony boys, if you need a ponytail, hit me up.”
Simone shared a few more pictures, and one of them even had her posing with her father Ronald Biles, who has always been her pillar of support alongside her mother Nellie. She concluded the thread with a heartwarming group photo and an image of her posing with her besties and favorites, none other than Jordan Chiles and Joscelyn Roberson. However, as Biles did admit, behind the sparkle and smiles, everything was not that easy.
