Eagles scored a touchdown after a massive completion from Jalen Hurts to DeVonta Smith set up Dallas Goedert for a 5-yard score. A flag gave the Birds what looked like a perfect opportunity to use their signature play and punch it in for a two-point conversion.
But, true to their word from earlier this week, the Bucs stuffed the Eagles at the one-yard line. Linebacker Devin White said Thursday that he’d take Vita Vea over Jason Kelce any day, and Vea got up and kept Hurts out of the end zone for the Bucs’ second stop on the play this season.
K.J. Britt appeared to grab Hurts’ facemask on the play but there was no penalty flag.
