BREAKING NEWS: ESPN Has Reportedly Finally Made Decision about Jason Kelce Future
Bristol, CT – ESPN has reportedly reached a key decision regarding Jason Kelce’s media ventures, confirming that the former Philadelphia Eagles star’s late-night talk show, “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce,” will not return for a second season in 2026.
According to reports from Awful Announcing and other outlets, the decision was mutual, with Kelce opting to explore other opportunities during the offseason rather than commit to another run of the program. ESPN was reportedly supportive of continuing the show but respected Kelce’s choice to pursue different projects.
The show, which debuted in early 2025 as part of Kelce’s multi-year deal with the network, featured the retired NFL center hosting celebrity guests and delivering humorous takes on sports and pop culture. Despite its unique format, it faced challenges with ratings and viewership.
Kelce, who joined ESPN in 2024 on a reported three-year, $24 million contract, remains active with the broadcaster. He continues as a prominent analyst on “Monday Night Countdown” during the NFL season and has taken on special roles, including as a correspondent for ESPN’s NHL Stadium Series coverage and a guest commentator for the TGL golf league’s recent broadcasts.
The 38-year-old Super Bowl champion has transitioned successfully into media since retiring from football in 2024, also co-hosting the popular “New Heights” podcast with his brother Travis Kelce.
Fans and insiders expect him to remain a fixture in sports broadcasting, with potential new ventures on the horizon.
No further details on his long-term ESPN future have been announced, but the network has indicated it will collaborate with Kelce on additional projects as they arise.
