JUST IN: Congressman Ro Khanna cranks the Epstein pressure up to TEN by demanding a “special prosecution committee” to “go after” the people in the Epstein files — backing Trump and Republicans into a corner.
Washington, D.C. — In a fiery new call to action, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) has escalated demands for accountability in the Jeffrey Epstein case, urging the Department of Justice to establish a **special prosecution committee** to pursue individuals implicated in the recently released Epstein files.
Khanna, co-author of the Epstein Files Transparency Act alongside Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), made the demand in a widely shared video statement.
He cited a recent review by United Nations human rights experts of over 3.5 million documents released under the act, which reportedly uncovered evidence of “sexual slavery, forced disappearances, and torture”—potential crimes against humanity.
“The DOJ continues a cover-up,” Khanna declared. “That is why today I’m calling for three things: First, the Department of Justice must set up a special prosecution committee to go after those in the Epstein files that are accountable.”
Khanna has been a leading voice pushing for transparency since co-sponsoring the 2025 legislation that forced the release of millions of pages of DOJ and FBI records related to Epstein’s sex-trafficking network.
He has previously accused the Justice Department—under the current Trump administration—of improperly redacting names of “elite, powerful men” and failing to pursue co-conspirators aggressively.
The push places significant pressure on Republican leaders and the Trump administration, which has faced criticism over its handling of the files’ rollout and redactions.
Khanna’s bipartisan work with Massie on the transparency act has already yielded major disclosures, but he argues more must be done to ensure full accountability without protecting predators.
Khanna also called for stronger protections for survivors and the complete, unredacted release of remaining files. “This isn’t about politics,” he has emphasized in related statements. “It’s about exposing America’s two-tiered system of justice and bringing accountability to the Epstein class.”
The proposal has sparked intense debate, with supporters praising it as a step toward justice for victims and critics questioning its timing and potential political motivations amid ongoing partisan tensions.
As calls grow for independent investigations, all eyes are on the DOJ’s response to Khanna’s demand for a dedicated prosecution effort.
