Victory Frenzy! Over a Million Fans Flood Philadelphia Streets for Epic Super Bowl Parade—Jalen Hurts Steals the Show Puffing a Cigar in Wild Celebration!
Jubilant Philadelphia Eagles stars received a heroes’ welcome in the city after more than a million fans lined the streets for their Super Bowl parade on Friday.
The Eagles, who destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday’s NFL showpiece, celebrated back home with their adoring supporters after capturing the franchise’s second Super Bowl in New Orleans at the weekend.
Quarterback sensation Jalen Hurts was seen puffing on a cigar as he and his teammates set off on the parade, which concluded with a ceremony on the famous Rocky steps outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
A replay of the dominant 40-22 win over the Chiefs, which the Eagles led 34-0 at one stage, was shown on large screens nearby during the ceremony.
The parade started near the South Philadelphia stadium and proceeded up Broad Street to City Hall, before heading west on to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the art museum.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie, who was celebrating on the bus with Philadelphia stars, held the Vince Lombardi Trophy aloft next to Hurts when the parade got underway at around 11am.
The Eagles cruised to victory in New Orleans on Sunday night, with Hurts inspiring the win after producing one of the finest displays of his career.
On a night which saw opposite number Patrick Mahomes sacked six times while throwing two interceptions, the Philadelphia quarterback stole the show with 221 yards and two touchdowns.
Hurts also rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns as Nick Sirianni’s team dismantled the now-former back-to-back champions.
