Abbie Chatfield breaks down in tears over boyfriend Adam Hyde’s Christmas gift: ‘I’ve never cried so much’

Abbie Chatfield was reduced to tears on Wednesday after boyfriend Adam Hyde gave her a very special Christmas gift.

On Boxing Day, Abbie took to Instagram to share an intimate video of Adam presenting her with a horseshoe necklace.

The family significance of the jewellery is what made the FBoy Island star emotional.

The necklace, designed by Melbourne-based artist Millie Savage, is a replica of one worn by Abbie’s late grandmother, Carmel.

Abbie’s new piece was made even more meaningful by the inclusion of her and Adam’s birthstones.

As Abbie realised the significance of the gift in the video, she became overwhelmed with emotion and struggled to find the words.

Thank you, baby,’ she said to her beau.

‘That would’ve taken so much planning, and it looks like the color of Grandma’s eyes as well.’

While Adam stood behind her to fasten the necklace around her neck, she wiped tears from her eyes.

Captioning the tender video, Abbie admitted that she had never been so emotional over receiving a present.

‘I’ve never cried so much from a gift,’ she wrote.

‘Adam never got to meet my Grandma but he knows how much she means to me. My mum has worn my grandma’s horseshoe necklace ever since she passed away.

‘So, Adam got a custom horseshoe necklace made for me.’
