BREAKING: LeBron James rushed to the hospital and in critical condition after elbow comes within just feet of his head
LOS ANGELES — In a shocking turn of events during Friday night’s game, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was rushed to a local hospital and placed in critical condition after an opposing player’s elbow narrowly missed his head by mere feet.
The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Lakers’ matchup against the Golden State Warriors when Warriors forward Draymond Green swung his arm during a heated rebound battle.
While the elbow did not make physical contact, sources close to the team described the “near-miss” as so close that James immediately clutched his head, collapsed to the floor, and began showing signs of severe distress.
Team physicians attended to James on the court for several minutes before he was loaded into an ambulance and transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Initial reports indicate James is suffering from acute anxiety-induced symptoms and possible phantom trauma from the “terrifying proximity” of the elbow.
“LeBron is a warrior, but this was different,” said Lakers head coach JJ Redick in a brief statement. “When an elbow gets that close—within just feet—it’s no joke. We’re monitoring his condition closely and asking for prayers.”
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued a statement condemning “dangerously close elbows” league-wide and promised a full investigation into proper swinging etiquette.
As of Saturday morning, James remains in critical condition under observation. Doctors have not ruled out a lengthy recovery period involving rest, hydration, and possibly watching film of the non-contact incident on repeat.
Fans across social media have flooded timelines with concern, using the hashtag #PrayForLeBron, while some skeptics question how an elbow “within feet” could cause such an outcome.
The Lakers have postponed all upcoming games until further notice. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
